Are you familiar with the concept 1 + 1 = 3? That's the idea behind this exercise, that together we are greater than the sum of our parts. This week, enlist a partner and together complete an act of kindness. In considering who to choose for your partner, find someone who brings out the best in you. Likewise, you may want to consider someone for whom you do the same.
Let your kindness action emerge from this partnership.
Be sure to tell your partner why you chose her/him. In doing this, try to focus on a desire to practice kindness from a loving place and not for show or reward. See your discussions with your partner as an opportunity to consider your motivations in this area. As is the case with all of these exercises, focus on having fun, too.
In your journal, write about your partner, why you chose this person, and summarize your kindness act, including how the two of you came to select it.
