Here's to a fabulous year ahead!

It's the fifth day of the new year, and so far, I have been having a wonderful time. I have walked 10,000 steps every day (even if I had to force myself, walking up and down airports and registration offices like a mad person, staring at my phone which told me how many steps I was taking (yesterday I was too short to make the count, so I went downstairs to the gym at my apartment and started running on the treadmill).

I have also been taking supplements for the pain in my joints and inflammation and fatigue, and well, the whole kaboodle that goes along with menopause or "change of life" as they used to call it.

I have ingredients queued up to make (what I hope will be) a kick ass lunch.

One of my (many) resolutions this year is to try out new recipes and find new favourites. I gave my sister Jackie a recipe book full of old favourites - but now I think it's time to dig into the various recipe books I have scattered around the house and try new things.

That will be the theme for this year - trying new things. Practising. Sticking to things. Seeing them through.

Finding the life I want to lead rather than living one by default.

I think I am going to start updating this particular blog again.

Why?

Just because.
