The idea this week is to try to see a conflict or difficult situation from the perspective of the other, someone important to you. To do this, you may really need to slow yourself down, especially if you find yourself worked up about the situation. That unto itself, slowing down, is a kindness to both you and the other person.
Additionally and in the spirit of imagining what it would be like to feel what someone else is feeling, in your journal write about someone you'd like to try being if you weren't you. Imagine being this person for a day or longer. It's okay to choose a real person, living or dead, or a fictional one like a character from a book, TV show, or movie to whom you are drawn.
Try answering the following questions:
What are the qualities or circumstances that draw you to this person?
What is the first thing you'd do as this person?
Does anything surprise you about the experience?
How do you feel?
