Buddy the Elf finds out he's adopted. He finds out that he's not an elf but human. He finds out that his mother surrendered him to an orphanage soon after he was born and she died soon after. And by the way, his father is not very nice. In fact, he's on the naughty list. A recipe for major adolescent angst.
